Writing a novel is hard. Writing 50,000 words in a month is harder. It
means starting with a blank page and
filling it with a world of your own choosing . While some
consider writing difficult profession, and NaNoWriMo downright crazy,
when given the right tools, it's not quite as daunting a task. The
NaNoWriMo
website is a great place to start. Not only is an account free, but they
also give direct access to awesome writing programs like
Scrivener,
Dabble and Novlr,
most of the time, they have exclusive discount codes, too.
But there is a catch. The standard length of a novel is 50,000 words.
That's about 1,667 words a day, if you plan on sitting down and putting
pen to paper, or fingertip to keyboard, every day of the month.
