Art galleries in Vienna

I absolutely love my home country, Slovakia, with its culture, people and cuisine.
However, when I was a little girl I fell in love with Vienna and visited almost all of its galleries even before I managed to move to Austria. Thus, I decided to prepare a little guide for you
as my final project for SheCodes Basics!

  Museum of Art History

  It is the largest art museum in the country and one of the most important museums worldwide.
  The museum's primary collections are those of the Habsburgs.
  The interiors of the museums are lavishly decorated with marble, stucco ornamentation, gold-leaf and murals.

  Belvedere

  The buildings are set in a Baroque park landscape in the third district, on the south-eastern edge of its centre.
  Its famous art collection includes works ranging from the Middle Ages to the present day, including the world's largest collection of Gustav Klimt paintings.

  Mumok

  The mumok, a striking dark grey cuboid, is the largest museum in Central Europe for art since modernism.
  Mumok has an unusual collection featuring important works from Classic Modernism, Pop Art, Fluxus, and Viennese Actionism to present-day film and media art.
