Pastel Macarons

A macaron is a drop cookie made with shredded coconut, egg whites, sugar, other flavorings (like vanilla extract), and sometimes ground almonds. Modern macarons often call for sweetened condensed milk. Macarons look more like coconut mounds than traditional cookies.
