Around half of women feel unsafe walking alone after dark in a busy public place or on a quiet street near their home, and 97% of women in the UK have been sexually harassed. Women are often bombarded with tips on how to keep themselves safe in public, and a vast majority of women are already acutely aware of their basic safety strategies. They have been drummed into women since childhood. Women's safety doesn't lie only with women but also every citizen, including men.
