Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five
players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with
the primary objective of shooting a basketball through the defender's
hoop while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own
hoop.
The first ever game of basketball was in 1891! That is 129 years ago...
Today, the NBA - National Basketball Association - is one of the most
famous sports leagues in the world with some very big names, like
Michael Jordan.
