shiba inus

Shiba Inus are a Japanese dog breed, belonging to the spitz family. They are considered an ancient breed, making them closer to wolves than your average labrador or poodle. This is reflected through their foxy appearance. ๐ŸฆŠ

Shiba Inus are small to medium in size, generally measuring around 40cm. What they lack in physical size, they sure make up with a big personality! ๐Ÿ˜› Shiba Inus are known for their antics, like the infamous shiba scream. They are also quite stubborn; for this reason, they can be difficult to train so are not recommended for new dog owners. ๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿป

However, Shiba Inus make great family dogs! ๐Ÿ‘ช They are less likely to be aggressive than larger spitz breeds, and bond with the whole family. While they are not suitable guard dogs, they can act as a watch dog by barking to alert owners if an outsider has trespassed onto the territory. ๐Ÿ“ข Once you form a bond with a Shiba Inu, you will have a faithful companion. ๐Ÿงก Everyday, upon returning home from work or school, a Shiba Inu would greet you with happy squeals and a wagging tail!

They come in four different colours:
