Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is to relax. We spend so much time in our head, thinking rather than being. We overthink, we over-stress, we over-rationalize - the list goes on - that we sometimes loose touch with our true selves. Remember that day when nothing seems to be going right or when you were so busy you barely remembered your own name? Yes? Then it’s time to truly relax and come back down to earth. When we relax, our heart rate slows down, it reduces our blood pressure, your digestion gets better and it relieves tension. It gives us new energy to get going again, to feel energized, and to have a calmer and clearer mind. These little tips pull you back into the space of right now and are your reminder to chill.
Set your alarm 4 times a day. When it goes off, give yourself 1 minute to just sit and feel how you’re doing. Quiet the mind and let the body speak for itself and notice what it needs and what it is telling you.
You’re not a robot! Even the Ferrari on the Autobahn needs some time in the garage to recharge and fuel its tank. So slow down your walking, eating and doing to slow down your thinking.
Turn on that song that makes you dance and release all the energy. Dance it out!
Go near water. Drink more water. Swim in water. Shower. Take a bath. Rinse. Clean.
When the body has rest, the mind calms down. When the mind calms down, we can enter the wisdom of the subconscious. So get that sleep your body deserves.
Set boundaries and know your limits with people. Remember, a no to someone else is a yes for yourself.
