Butters Stotch

A friendly fourth-grader from South Park

Leopold "Butters" Stotch is a student at South Park Elementary School. He is naive, optimstic, and guillible. He was born on the island of Kaua'i on September 11. He is the only child of Stephen and Linda Stotch, from whom he perpetually faces the looming prospect of being grounded.

Butters has many alter egos.

• Marjorine

  
  Butters fakes his own death and poses as a new female student, Marjorine, so he can infiltrate a slumber party hosted by classmate Heidi Turner and steal a mystical relic that allows them to see the future.

• Mantequilla

  
  Butters gets lost while playing "Texans vs. Mexicans" with his friends. As he tries to find his way back, a couple in a passing car takes him to their home, believing him to be a Mexican immigrant named Mantequilla.

• Hawaiian Butters

  
  Butters has reached the "Age of Panua", an anger-filled coming-of-age for those of Hawaiian descent. Keeping with tradition, Butters' parents send him on a pilgrimage to his native land.

• Professor Chaos

  
  Professor Chaos is Butters Stotch's villainous alter-ego. Born from a life of dejection, he vows to bring chaos to the world that has shunned him time and time again.
