Gryffindors are known for being daring, chivalrous, and having nerve . The house symbol, a lion, represents these traits of a Gryffindor. The Golden Trio (Harry, Hermione, and Ron) all belong to this house.
Hufflepuffs are known for their loyalty, friendship, and inclusivity. They are the most underrated of all the hogwarts houses in the books and the movies. Many think it's a bad thing to be a hufflepuff. Let's look at the house symbol, a badger, they are cute on the outside but have no problem standing up for themselves. This house is underestimated due to the fact that they do not feel the need to boast about themselves. Many exceptional withces and wizards have come from this house.
Ravenclaws are known for their wisdom, wit, and intelect. They are driven intellectually and tend to have high marks. Some members of Ravenclaw are known for being eccentric with their magic, such as Luna Lovegood and her parents.
Slytherin are known for being ambitious, clever, and achievement-oriented. They are most known for being the house that consists of a lot of dark witches and wizards, however there are good Slytherin's also and just because someone is a slytherin does not make them a bad person.

What has Harry Potter meant to you?
Hogwarts has been home to many people since it hit shelves in the UK June 26th 1997. Harry Potter has been an outlet for me from an early age. It was my escape from my not so pleasant childhood and has carried on into my adult years. Reading them as a child, I did not always see the beyond the words written, but as an adult I can see much of the research and lessons written into the story. Everytime I read them, I seem to notice something new. My favorite way to enjoy them now is on audio. Jim Dale's voice brings me comfort but also brings all the characters alive right off the page. I hope Hogwarts and those who love it as I do, will always be welcoming and kind. 🦅💙 This is a safe space for all Harry Potter fans.
