In Tomisona's first year in elementary school, her recess was spent diving into imaginary worlds and characters; anything her six-year-old mind could come up with. She would act out these thoughts with her best friend, both of them giggling in the spring wind, without a single care in their lives. Switching roles and using sticks and flowers as props, Tomisona and her best friend felt like they finally owned something: they could bring to life the vibrant creatures illuminating their minds. Between scenes, they were hidden by plants and trees at the south end of the school's large playground. Their secret place would remain unknown, till this day. By her pre-teen years, she got her first novella published. Through writing short stories, novellas, and poems alike, she has left a gap for us to peep into her world.
