Coffee beans

Coffee or coffee drink is a black, psychotropic, caffeinated beverage made from roasted and ground coffee beans, the seeds of the fruit of the coffee plant, and hot water.
It is recognized that the coffee plant originated in Ethiopia. According to legend, the coffee plant was discovered by the shepherd Kaldi, whose goats were jumping around in an uproar after eating the red coffee cherries. Coffee was first mentioned in the Kaffa region of southwestern Ethiopia as early as 900 AD. At that time, the leaves and dried cherries were infused in hot water, similar to tea, and then drunk. It was not until later, when coffee passed through the Arab world to the Ottoman Empire and later to Istanbul, that the preparation already corresponded more closely to its present form. The raw, dry seeds (because, strictly speaking, they are not beans) were roasted, finely ground and boiled several times in water.

My favorite coffees at a glance:

Espresso

Espresso

Espresso is a coffee-brewing method of Italian origin, in which a small amount of nearly boiling water (about 90 °C or 190 °F) is forced under 9–10 bars of pressure (expressed) through finely-ground coffee beans. Espresso coffee can be made with a wide variety of coffee beans and roast degrees.

Latte Macchiato

Latte Macchiato

Latte Macchiato is a hot drink made from milk and espresso, similar to latte but usually containing more milk and prepared from more heavily roasted beans. In Italy, a little espresso is usually mixed into a glass of milk.

Cappucchino

Cappuchino

Cappuccino is an Italian coffee drink prepared from an espresso and hot milk foam. It is usually served in thick-walled, pre-warmed cups made of stoneware or porcelain and drunk sweetened.

Caffé Americano

Americano

The Caffé Americano is a variation of the original Italian espresso, which is also called "Verlängerter" in the Austrian region. It is an espresso that is diluted with hot water.
