About
Studio Ghibli is an acclaimed Japanese animation film studio founded in 1985 by three men: animators and directors Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata, and producer Suzuki Toshio. The name Studio Ghibli was based on the Arabic name for "hot sahara wind" because the founders wanted Studio Ghibli to blow new wind through the anime industry.
