My mom's family are all Chinese, so growing up I've had many opportunities to try many different dishes from Southern China, specifically Cantonese style cooking. Over the years I've wondered what other cuisines are out there in China and the rest of Asia. Thus started my adventure in cooking and my cravings for different types of dishes from different places in the world. However, in the summer, my cravings for Asian dishes are more prominent.
My number one craving that's really hard to find is mul naengmyeon, which translates to Cold noodles in cold broth. This is one of many Korean dishes that is consumed in the summer, especially on hot summer days. This dish is cold, vinegary liquid goodness, crunchy ingredients and a chewy noodle. There are many types of Mul Naengmyeon, my current favorite is the simplest version as seen above.

My mom's family is from a Southern Province in China, close to Hong Kong, which meant that Hong Kong style Dimsum was a must try at some point in my life. I, especially, fell right in love with Milk tea, either hot or cold, I was addicted at first slurp. Unfortunately, good Hong Kong style dimsum is hard to find and also very difficult to have on your own, thus you need a couple of friends to join.
