Fox Red Labradors are a darker shade of the traditional yellow or golden
labrador retriever, but they are actually the same breed and technically
classified as a yellow labrador by the Kennel Club.
Although puppies with
paler coats were popular in the 1960s and 1970s, working dogs with darker
coats were often favoured. In the UK, fox red labs are still mainly used
as working dogs, although their popularity is growing.
As with all labs, they are known to be hard-working, playful, fun-loving puppies.
