"In isolation my imagination has run wild and this album is the result, a collection of songs and stories that flowed like a stream of consciousness. Picking up a pen was my way of escaping into fantasy, history, and memory. I’ve told these stories to the best of my ability with all the love, wonder, and whimsy they deserve. Now it’s up to you to pass them down. folklore is out now."

The following songs are my favorite above all. The1, it can be imagined that one women is looking back to her past, one intimate relationship, although the man supposedly is married with another women. In the intimate relationship, probably they couldn't be a couple and the relationship ended with a really really close friendship. Then, the following lyrics continues; "I persist and resist the temptation to ask you 'if one thing had been different, would everything be different today?' We were something, don't you think so? Rosé flowing with your chosen family. And it would've been sweet if it could've been me".

Taylor described “Evermore” as a “sister” album to her latest release, “Folklore.” The following songs are my favorite above all.
“‘Tis the Damn Season” introduces Dorothea, a Hollywood actress who returns to her hometown and reunites with a high school flame in a very adult tryst."
ー Rolling Stone
Dorothea is the person related to and appears in the song "dorothea". She left her hometown pursuing her dream to be an actress, which is the reason why she broke up with the one who was in intimate relationship with her. At the second half, the following lyrics continue; "So I'll go back to L.A." "and wonder about the only soul who can tell which smiles I'm fakin'"
And the heart I know I'm breakin' is my own to leave the warmest bed I've ever known" "We could call it even"
"And I'll be yours for the weekend" "'Tis the damn season"
