The volunteer role of a fosterer is a crucial one and can make
a huge difference to the rehabilitation of an animal and their chances
of finding a forever home. Sometimes animals don't cope well in animal
centre environments or they need one-to-one care, so this is where the
RSPCA's fantastic team of fosterers come
in.
Being a fosterer can be challenging when you have to say goodbye to your
kitty companion, but I promise it is also one of the most rewarding
things you can do! You get to make sure a poor cat without a home is
cared for and loved in a safe environment until they are placed with
their forever family. You also play a massive part in restoring their
confidence around humans again, which is a vital step they need to take
before behing rehomed.
