Arepas are the must iconic and popular food from Venezuela and Colombia. It is an indigenous origin recipe. They are made with corn white flour. They are roasted on a round plate (it can be maade of iron, steel or even ceramic mud). In Venezuela we mostly eat arepas in breakfast and dinner, however it can be eaten at any moment. It can be filled with any ingredient. Personally, my favorite is with black beans and shredded cheese.
