Victim blaming occurs
when the victim of a crime or any wrongful act is held entirely or
partially at fault for the harm that befell them. The study of victimology seeks to mitigate the prejudice against
victims, and the perception that victims are in any way responsible for
the actions of offenders.

Well, many potential factors are influential. Factors like
emotions in a perceived violence event, personal belief, sexual
orientation, etc. All these factors interact with each other to complicate the issue
of victim-blaming.
Just one example below: 👇👇🏻👇🏾
People who strongly
believe that
good people are rewarded and bad people are punished
tend to blame the victim more. Their belief in a just world is
threatened by the victim's misfortune, especially when the perpetrator
got away. In that sense, they need moral judgment on the unfair scene by
going against the victim more than usual.
