Volleyball

Ready, set, spike!

What is it?

Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players compete against each other by controlling the ball with parts of their body to prevent the ball from dropping in their court. To score a point, the actions of a dig, set and spike of the ball back and forth over a high net is put into play until the ball touches either side of the court. Currently featured in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, and annual Volleyball Nations League (VNL), playing volleyball is enjoyed worldwide by those that play and those that watch for entertainment.
