It’s been nearly 45 years since a woman qualified and competed in a
Formula 1 World Championship race.
Out of the more than 900 drivers who have raced in an F1 Grand Prix,
only two have been women.
The newly created W series is the world’s first international female-only motorsport championship and aims to provide women the money and opportunity to reach the highest levels of the sport.
