Tam Coc in Vietnam

The most stunnig boat ride!

Nearly 100 km from Hanoi, Vietnam , the village has been named “three caves” (tam coc) due to the natural formations that are around: Hang Ca, Hang Giua and Hang Cuoi. The mountainous region, cut by the Dong Ngo River, is visited on small boat tours of up to four people on cruises that take about four hours. Taking a boat tour in Tam Coc will lead you to the places where most of the photos from Ninh Binh area are taken. Have you seen that river surrounded by rice fields and mountains?

Tam Coc and its spectacular canals, karstic rock formations, rice fields, limestone grottoes that you carefully pass through so you don’t bump your head into the wall above, became popular after Indochine won the Oscar in 1993, and word spread that some scenes were shot in Tam Coc. The area is part of the famous Trang An Landscape Complex UNESCO World Heritage site.
