Camelids are members of the biological family camelidae. Llamas and alpacas are both camlids. They are doestic mammels that are social and live as a heard. They are very easy to train and are very curious creatures. Many think alpacas and llamas are the same. This is not true they are both camelids but have slightly different features. Alpacas are smaller than llamas and they're usally used for thier wool. While llamas are used mostly for transporting material.
