The fantastic thing about fantasy?
Welcome to a world which knows not of earthly, mundane boundaries!
I find it absolutely fantastic that in the world as we know it today, this
product of science and exploration, there are people and there are stories
which reach outside of the box. Which go beyond the final frontier. Such
stories are not bound by logic or reason, nor are they chained to
prejudice and steretypes we know. These are other realities. Other species
and other struggles. Otherworldly terrors and joy.
In one of them, elephants might indeed fly. In some others, we will be
able to clean our houses with a snap of our fingers (well, magic would be
involved of course, we're nop miracle workers now...). In the next one
we'll have the power to become entirely invisible, or even invincible.
Where there are no known, defined boundaries, and where we can go the
distance - the mind.
Imagining and creating worlds of our own. Creatures, beasts and forces of
our making, the very ones which carried us through our childhood, or the
ones which keep enchanting our dreams. The first imaginary friend who was
right there in that same corner you had been sitting in when you were sad
or just felt blue.
