According to Plato the island of Atlantis was big enough at its height
to be considered a continent, that was home to a civilization regarded
as the most advanced in human history. This mythical island was said
to lie by ”The Pillars of Heracles” and was larger than Ancient Libya
and Asia Minor combined. It was ruled by a confederation of ten kings,
of which the eldest of them, Atlas, was king of the whole island.
The Atlanteans were great seafarers and warrriors, and so their empire
spread far and wide, until it finally reached the border of Ancient
Greece. But then in one fateful act of hubris, the Atlanteans
decided to attack the great city of Athens...
