Spitzenwanderweg

200 kilometers long and a total of more than 6,800 vertical meters

The hiking trail connects the unique natural and cultural landscapes of the Zugspitz region such as Murnauer Moos, Linderhof Castle, Königshaus am Schachen, Höllentalklamm, Kuhflucht waterfalls and Mittenwald. Not only the many church steeples and mountain peaks make this long-distance hiking trail a real top hiking trail. The route was specifically laid out so the most beautiful corners of the Zugspitz region can be walked carefully and consciously. The route leads past lakes as well as royal castles and waterfalls, through wild gorges and high alpine scenery, to foothills of the Alps and beautiful locations and museums. The path is varied and easy to hike.
