Greyhounds As Pets

If you’re thinking about a dog for adoption, or looking at rescue dogs for adoption, then consider a greyhound as they have many benefits and rewards! Retired greyhounds are wonderful individuals each has its own unique personality, just as we do. They are gentle, affectionate dogs, many prefer to lounge around the house, others like to be part of a home with more activity but generally they are considered family friendly dogs. They are not known to bark excessively and are quietly curious about the world. Greyhounds are very low maintenance. They have short coats with very little oil in their skin, which means they have minimal shedding and don’t have the trademark ‘dog smell’. For this reason a bath four to five times a year is more than enough to keep your greyhound clean.
