Norwegian, or norsk, is the main language of
Norway. It exists on a dialect continuum with Swedish and Danish, and is
descended from the Indo-European language family, with over
5.4 million speakers!
There are two official forms of written Norwegian, bokmål and
nynorsk. Spoken Norwegian is based on what dialect people have,
which is determined by where you were brought up. The important thing is
to be proud of where you are from and speak with pride!
