Now owned by Dawn Cake, a pastry company renowned for its ice creams and pineapple cakes
the building was built in 1927 and it was the largest ophthalmology clinic during the japanese colonial period in taiwan.
after the surrender of Japan in 1945, the building became taichung's health bureau. overtime, the health
bureau was suspended, and the building was abandoned until it was acquired by Dawn Cake.
