Human Food / Dog Food

Have you ever eaten a delicious orange with your dog staring at you with his giant, soulful eyes (see Figure 1)? Or experienced a minor heart attack when one second you dropped a piece of cheese and the next it's in your furry baby's jaw? Well not to worry, many of our people-foods are totally safe, and even quite nutritious, for dogs.

Caveat: grapes, chocolate, raisins, garlic, macadamia nuts, and other foods are toxic to dogs. When in doubt, contact your veterinarian or poison control . Also note, many of these foods should only eaten in moderation. Avoid seasoning and excess fat, salt, and sugar. Excess may lead to one sick pooch. 🤮 A balanced diet is key!
