Joyce Kwak is a Los Angeles based Korean
American violinist. Since picking up the violin at age 9, she continued
her studies in Los Angeles with teachers, Rebecca Ruthkowski and Roberto
Cani. Her professional studies in music lead her to receive her bachelors
of art at the University of California, Los Angeles and then her masters
in music at Rice University's Shepherd School of Music.
Throughout her time as an undergrad and a masters student, she had the
opportunity to study with Movses Pogossian, Janet Ying, Janet Sung, Varty
Manouelian, Paul Kantor, Andrej Bielow, Vlad Stanculeusa, Yehonatan Berick
and more. Her violin playing has lead her to stages in New York City
(namely Carnegie Hall), the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, France, and
Italy. In her free time she enjoys researching about financial
opportunities in stocks and cryptocurrency, learning to code, and creating
content for her
instagram.
