Embroidery is the craft of decorating fabric or other materials
using a needle to apply thread or yarn. Embroidery may also incorporate
other materials such as pearls, beads, quills, and sequens. In the past,
embroidery was a symbol of domesticity, in modern days, women are
reclaiming embroidery by using it as a tool for protest and to
defy social constructs around femininity.
