Helping Survivors of Domestic Violence Develop Businesses Online.

In Bhutan, the most prevelant form of violence against women is domestic violence, often perpetuated by economic violence. Lack of education, skills and opportunities deprive many Bhutanese women from being financially independent from their partners and the dependecy often result in being physically, sexually and emotionally abused by their partners. Local organizations have been working with survivors of such violence and helping them acquire skills to generate income and provide for their family. Code for Her: Bhutan is a voluntary platform that connects coders like you with local Bhutanese organizations that work closely with women survivors who would like to start businesses online.
