In the Dominican Republic, Cativía is a type of empanada made out of
yuca or cassava. This comes from our Taino heritage. Yuca is made into
this cassava flour (a.k.a tapioca flour), which is then filled with any
kind of filling you choose. You fill it up, close it, fry it, and voilà.
