Tips Your Makeup Artist Never Told You
Here are 5 top trade tips you probably haven't considered yet!
-
Did you forget to sleep?
Yea me too. We can fake it though with a peach colour corrector, put
it on after your eyecream and before your concealer to give the
appearance of a full night sleep.
-
Do you have a stubborn pimple that won't cover?
Make sure your tools are clean before touching any spots on your
skin.
If you're using a wand concealer take some concealer off onto the back
of your hand or a palette, you could risk contaminating the contents
if you put it directly onto a spot (especially if it hasn't healed
yet). Apply your concealer to the area and let it sit to dry down for
a moment, after the product has dried down a bit pat the edges of the
concealer to blend into your skin and try to not distrub the product
directly on the spot. Set it into place with some powder pressing it
on and not brushing it as to not lift any concealer.
-
Did you run out of your eyebrow gel this morning?
if you did, find your nearest clear bar of soap (cream soap is a risk
but so is leaving the house without eyebrow gel), spray the soap with
a little setting spray if on hand or a little amount of water. Take a
clean spoolie and rub the soap into the bristles to make a light
paste. Spread the paste through your eyebrows into your desired shape.
Let soap set into place and finish with your usual eyebrow products.
-
Are you finding eyeliner on your eyelids?
Try tightlining (it's not a circus trick). Take your pencil eyeliner,
I find a retraclable pencil best. You want to make sure it isn't too
sharp and you are going to put the pencil underneath your top lashes
near the skin, it will likely tickle a bit but it will make your eyes
pop without the mess!
-
Do you keep your makeup in the bathroom?
Well you shouldn't. The changing temperatures in a bathroom can cause
your products to expire faster, and even maybe mold too.
