I've been obsessed with sharks since I was 7 years old, and here's why you should be obsessed too 🥰
Sharks have a bad reputation on land and in the sea, while they may be
fierce predators, they are not evil, despite what most movies may want
you to believe. Sharks are not only intelligent creatures, they are
necessary for our oceans health, and ultimately for the health of our
Earth.
There are over 400 species of
sharks, so finding a favorite one won't be hard! Sharks come in all
shapes and sizes, my personal favorite: the whale shark can be as long
as a bus but are gentle giants who only eat small shrimp, fish, and
plankton. Sharks have been around for hundreds of millions of years and
an ocean without sharks, would lead to an environmental collapse like no
other. It's imperative that we begin to respect and love our sharks
because at the rate humans are killing them, (100 million per year),
we may soon not have any sharks left.
