Salamanca
Castile and León
Spain
In the summer of 2017, I had the opportunity to study the Spanish language in Salamanca. With a group of students from my university, we immersed ourselves in the culture and the language for two months. It was my first time travelling by myself and to another continent. This experience allowed me to build lasting memories and friendships.
Salamanca is in the autonomous community of Castile and León. It is about 200 kilometres away from Madrid.
In 1998, UNESCO declared the city of Salamanca a World Heritage Site. The University of Salamanca is one of the oldest universities in Spain.
Salamanca is a city rich in history. It is worth it to take a tour of the town, which is offered in several languages.
