I love Turkish TV shows
Here are some of my favourites...
Hercai, Marasli and Sen Çal Kapimi are
my current favourite Turkish TV shows. The three of them are very
different from one another.
Turkish TV shows are called dizis, and there is a whole culture
around them. An episode is usually two and a half hours long on average.
The episodes come out weekly. If people love the show they may run for
years, but if they don't, they get canceled in a few weeks.
Hercai is Romeo and Juliet with a twist. It follows the
lives two families with a lot of history between them.
Marasli is the story of a young female photographer
that witnesses a homicide. An ex-soldier happens to be around and saves
her.
Sen Çal Kapimi (SÇK) follows the story of a young woman
that wants to become a landscape architect. She is able to do so thanks
to a scholarship, but everything changes when she loses it because of
the well-known architect, Serkan Bolat.
