How adoption changed my life Chapter 1
I had a rough start in my life and it took me nearly two years to find my humans. As my first owner brought me to the shelter, I thought, it was just one of another adventure and he would come back some day. It was hard for me, as I recognized he won't return. After a time somebody came along and took me home. But after a few days I was back in the shelter. A couple saw me and took me home. They already had some pets. A dog and a cat. For a few weeks everything looked good and I thought, that's my new home. But summer ended and all of a sudden I was back in the shelter. I nearly gave up all my hope, but then these two crazy people entered my life. The had seen me before, but couldn't take me with them at that point. They thought a lot about me, and as they saw I was back in shelter, they didn't loose a second and came. As it was my third time in the shelter, the people there insited on a trial time for us three. They could come visit me anytime and go for a walk for a whole month. And the did. They came as many times as possible, and I felt that these are my humans for life. Finally after a month I could go home with them. They are the best that could happen to me, and they say that we always belonged together and that's the reason all the other people didn't came along with me. Together we go hiking, swiming and they show me the world. I am really happy.
But I think a lot about all the other animals in the shelter waiting for their humans. I really hope they get happy again someday. Get to know some of my friends.
