My name is Ana and I'm a UX Designer located in Silicon Valley. I took the SheCodes coding workshop to learn the basics of HTML, CSS, and Javascript in order to grow my skills as a designer. This landing page is my final project where I designed and coded everything you see!

What is UX Design?

UX Design or User Experience Design encompasses all aspects of interactions an end-user has with a company’s products and services. Good UX design should meet the customer’s needs and not just be easy to use but also a joy to use. What are your favorite apps, websites, or digital products? What do you like about it? What keeps you coming back to it? Well user research and UX design are probably why it’s one of your favorites!

Why Learn Coding?

I wanted to learn the basics of HTML, CSS, and Javascript because I believe it would help me be a better UX Designer for the following reasons:

  • Understand the basics of front end development programming languages
  • Empathize with developers and engineers for better collaboration
  • Gain a deeper understanding of what is needed at hand-off
