Kamakura is a small city with a great history. It is situated in Kanto region. Situated in 1192, Kamakura used to be a capital of Japan till 1333. In Meiji period (1868-1912) Kamakura was a spot of attraction for people of art looking for inspiration. Survived the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923, Kamakura still gives locals and tourists the vibes of old times and serenity of peaceful nature. There are more than 180 temples in Kamakura.
