There are more than 18 different seal species, all ranging in
their size and chubbiness.
The smallest is the
ringed seal, with an average length of 1.5
meters and the average weight of 50-70 kg. The largest are the
southern elephant seals, who measure between
2.6-3 meters (female) and 4.2-5.8 meters (male) in length and can weigh up
to 4 tons.
