Meet Margaret Hamilton!

The woman whose software was the first
to land on the moon

Hamilton during Apollo

When Margaret was only 24, she started as a programmer at MIT, and eventually became lead flight software designer for the Apollo Space Mission. She and her team designed the software that made the first lunar landing possible! In the famous incident when, a few minutes before touch-down, a range of computer errors threatened the mission's success, her far-sighted programming saved the day!
