Urban Bee Guide 🐝

Find out what you can do to save the bees from your city appartment 🏙️

Bumble bee

Did you know that bees are responsible for one in three bites of food you eat? In fact wild and domestic honey bees perform about 80% of the pollination all around the world. Pretty amazing, right?
Unfortunately bees are facing more and more problems leading to global bee colony collapses which are mainly caused by pesticides. After knowing how important bees are for us to eat - which is kind of indispensible - we should do everything we can to help the bees.
The good news is: everyone can do something!
This Urban Bee Guide gives you tipps on what you can do to help!🐝💛

How to help the bees

Icon plant trees

Build a little bee paradise
If you have a balcony, choose plants that nourish bees as much as possible. We have a free plant guide availble under this link.

Buy local and organic
Pesticides are the number one bee killer. In order to not support bee-killing agriculture, choose organic fruits and vegetables.

Water drop

Offer a bee bath
Nectar colleting is hard workd and bees can become very thirsty. Especially during summer bees appreciate a shallow bowl of water placed outside. Make sure that you provide a little rock on which the bee can rest while drinking.

Support your local bee keeper
Local bee keepers are working hard to nurture their bees and are producing not only honey but also beeswachs products such as soap, lotions and candles. Plus local honey is made from local floral which helps with allergies.
