Welcome to the world of
bird photography!
Bird photography goes hand in hand with birdwatching. In order
to make (good) pictures, you must first learn to spot a bird! Don't
worry, this isn't hard or tricky at all. All you need are some
of your senses, like your sight and hearing. And obviously it
helps to be in a green environment, such as the woods or grassy
lands near a river, but that is not required. You can even
spot birds from your home if you have a backyard or balcony.
Like I said, you can spot birds with your eyes, but not often will
birds sit still and stay right in front of you so an aid can come in
handy. What can help, are binoculars. There's a whole world to
be discoverd when it comes to types of binoculars and if you want to
learn more about them,
go and visit this page.
Another way to take a good look at birds, is with a proper digital
camera and an adequate zoomlens (and/or teleconverter). This
page will give you the ins and outs of bird photography so there
will be nothing holding you back in getting started. We will
discuss which type of camera and lens are best, which settings to
use, how to find good locations, general do's and don'ts and so
on. Now let's get started so you can head outdoors, take a deep
breath of nature, start your adventure and enjoy the
marvels that are called
birds.
