I love clothes.

And I'm tired of buying ones that don't fit well.

So I took inspiration from the film The Intern.

Have you seen it? Anne Hathaway's character, Jules Austin, founded an online fashion company called About The Fit. It helps people find how clothes will fit them before they click buy. She started it from her kitchen and built it into a growing e-commerce fashion startup in Brooklyn.

Then her company runs a program to hire seniors as interns. One of them is Ben Whitaker, played by Robert De Niro, a 70-year-old widower who decides to break out of retirement with this internship.

What follows is a wonderfully sweet and heart-warming film about Jules and Ben and how they help About The Fit.

And I thought of... Fits Like Me

Where we build reviews around body type. 👚

Online shopping has made fashion more accessible than ever today. But the fit remains a guessing game. While we have reviews today on websites and social media, their fitting remains a challenge because:

Size charts vary across brands.
'True to size' reviews don't tell me much.
Every time I buy a shirt, I find myself wondering: Will this fit like my favourite blue shirt or the purple one I never wear?

That's the problem I want to solve wtih Fits Like me. 😊

Fits Like Me could be a platform where shoppers understand how clothes will fit them based on reviews from people with similar body types.

Instead of generic reviews, every user creates a profile with details like their height, weight, body shape, and fit preferences. After buying clothes online, users paste the product links and review how the clothes they bought fit them.

So, when someone shops online, they see reviews and size recommendations from people whose measurements match their own.

For example, a reviewer could write:

Details: 165 cm, 68 kg, athletic build, broad shoulders, prefers regular fit.
Review: Medium fits well around shoulders but tight around arms.

Now imagine you're shopping for the same shirt. Because your profile matches theirs, you don't see hundreds of generic reviews. You see just the ones most relevant to you

It combines body type, personal fit preference and community feedback to make reviews more relevant to you. The more people contribute, the smarter the recommendations become.

No body scans or garment measurements.
Just well-organised community data.
