Libra is home to Beta Librae (Zubeneschamali), which is famously described as the only star in the sky that appears green to the naked eye. Ancient Greek times viewed the stars of Libra as the claws (Chelae) of the Scorpion. The Romans "stole" the claws back from the scorpion to recreate the Scales for it was claimed the Moon was in Libra when Rome was founded, making it the "favoured constellation" of the Roman Empire.
The ancient 'Claw' energy creates a more intense, strategic personality. Therefore, in traditional astrology, the "sharper" side of Libra is defined by Saturn’s exaltation, while the modern, romantic version is defined by Venus’s rulership.
