👋 Who we are

We are a local shelter based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. We believe that every dachsie deserves to sleep under a cozy blanket, cuddle with a loving family, and go on beautiful walks.
We are a small team of two volunteers. We rescue dachshunds from abandonment, puppy mills, and negletful situations, and give them a chance at a loving home. As much as we wish we could keep all our foster dogs—we love them dearly— that wouldn't be sustainable. Instead, we actively look for donors and families who are willing to foster or adopt a furry friend.

Dachshunds were originally bred to hunt and they have a high prey drive.
Dachshunds are strong-willed and extremely smart.
Dachshunds live an average of 14-16 years.
Dachshunds are known to be big barkers.
Dachsunds hate rain.
Dachsunds are prone to Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD). To reduce risk, manage their weight, use a harness and limit high-impact activities like jumping on couches or using stairs. Consider adding joint supplements to their diet. And don't forget to lift them properly!

There are many ways you can help. We would love it if you could adopt or foster one of our wieners. However, we understand that not everybody is in a position to give a shelter dog a home.
