Lucinda Riley (1965-2021) was an Irish-born, bestselling author famous for historical fiction, especially her global phenomenon, The Seven Sisters series, about adopted sisters tracing their roots. After an early acting career, she began writing, publishing her first novel in 1992; her books are known for rich detail, strong characters, and themes of family, selling millions worldwide and translated into numerous languages. She died from cancer in 2021, leaving her literary legacy to her son, Harry Whittaker, who helped complete the series.
