Resurrection Mary is a Hitchhiking Ghost who has been known to haunt Archer Avenue. Back in the 1920s, a young woman, Mary, was at a dance with her boyfriend at the Oh Henry Ballroom. As the story goes, the two young lovers got into a quarrel. Mary stormed out of the ballroom.
While walking home on the dark, secluded road, she was struck by a car and killed. Mary was found on Archer Avenue, dressed in a white, flowing party dress, wrapped in a shawl with fancy pumps and a clutch purse.
To this day, little is known of Mary's true identity. She was blond, in her twenties, and believed to be of Polish descent. Although there have been reports of car accidents around the time of her death, the driver was never identified and is believed to have fled the scene after hitting Mary.
