The Brain
Have you ever thought about what's inside your head?
Well, nothing more than a 3 pound fatty organ made out of 60% fat and 40% of a combination between water, proteins, salts and carbohydrates. Our brains are comformed of only two main cells: neurons and glial. But that's not the fascinating part, our brains control thought, memory, emotion, touch, motor skills, vision, breathing, temperature, hunger and every process that regulates our body.
How does our brain work then?
The brain sends and receives chemical and electrical signals throughout
the body. Each type of signal controls different processes — your brain
interprets them all. Some signals make you feel tired, while others
trigger sensations like pain or pleasure.
